Research- 'It' film (Movie Reference #1)

I chose the movie IT as one of my references because since we have decided to film a horror/suspenseful film I thought I could get an idea of what angle and camera shots we would be using. During the movie, there was alot of close up shots of the characters reactions. You could see the terrified expressions on there face which gives the realistic feel for the character.

In our short film, we wanted to have a sweet moment go to bad. For example, in the beginning of the movie, Bill and Georgie had a brother bonding time while making a paper boat, a special moment that makes the audience "awww" ,but that scene quickly turned bad when Georgie was having fun chasing the boat outside while its pouring and following it down the moving water when all of a sudden the boat falls into the drain in the road. After that happened is when the clown Pennywise came out and bit off his arm.
This is kinda similar to our short film because when the brother and sister are talking and walking on the beach they were having a sibling bonding time when things went sideways.

Also in the movie, in the town Derry, Maine, kids have gone missing and no one knows where to find them. So our short film is going to be like that because after the loving moment, the sister notices that people are going missing at Siesta Key beach and then after they talk about that, the brother leaves and finds out that his sister is gone. He calls the cops and tells them that his sister was just right there on the beach and suddenly disappeared. This movie was the top reference because it is so similar and the plot is almost spot on.
